Impact Day 2026 with AIESEC in LUCT was a rewarding experience that brought our team to Prey Chum Orphanage Center in Kampong Speu. With 80 children, we focused on promoting essential health and hygiene habits while encouraging our youth delegates to prioritize self-care.
Beyond health education, the event highlighted the center’s urgent needs for food, hygiene supplies, and specialized equipment, including a wheelchair for children with limited mobility. The experience reminded us that creating impact goes beyond a single event—it requires continued commitment, advocacy, and action to support our communities. 💚🍀

— Local Committee Vision, current term EB Mayura
"When I first joined AIESEC, I honestly wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into.
But six months later, I’ve done things, met people, and experienced moments I never expected. The events, the energy, the late nights, and the people you somehow end up bonding with without even trying it all just happens. And before you know it, you realize you’ve become a different person.
I came in pretty reserved. Now, I’m more comfortable putting myself out there, meeting new people, and taking on new challenges and somehow, it all feels natural now.
AIESEC did that for me.
So if you’re on the fence about joining, just go for it. You might be surprised by how much you grow along the way. You won’t regret it.

"My AIESEC journey has been filled with many wonderful and unforgettable moments from being a member, becoming a Team Leader, and now being an alumna.
Before joining AIESEC, I often doubted myself. I didn’t believe in my abilities, was afraid to try new things, and didn’t really know what I wanted or what I loved. But AIESEC gave me the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and discover myself.
Throughout my journey, I learned so much about communication, teamwork, leadership, and responsibility. More importantly, I learned to believe in myself, take on challenges, and take responsibility for the things I chose, even when they were difficult for me.
I’m truly grateful for all the experiences, lessons, friendships, and memories that AIESEC has given me. It has been more than just an organization for me it has been an important part of my growth and a meaningful chapter of my life."
Lida Buch, Incoming Global Volunteer, Team Leader
"After completing one semester in AIESEC, the biggest shift wasn’t just in my skills. It was in how I see myself. Things that used to terrify me became part of my everyday task such as reaching out to people, doing cold calls, and facing many rejections.
Not only have I gained insight in what my function does but I’ve developed a lot of soft skills which is beneficial for my daily life and my future career. AIESEC gave me a space full of opportunities where I could fail, grow, and come back stronger.
There’s still a lot for me to learn and grow but I will keep on improving."
SokhaSakphea Lun, Business & Product Developmenet Team Member
"Living and working in Vietnam taught me more than a semester ever could."
Kanna Takaoka, Global Volunteer
"I taught English in Indonesia and came back a different kind of confident."
Yuji Sudo, Global Volunteer
"My experience in Cambodia has changed the way I think about teaching. At first, I thought my role was to teach the students something new. But I gradually realized that I am also learning from them every day.
I’ve tried different things in class, like challenge questions and team activities, and sometimes they worked and sometimes they didn’t. Through these experiences, I’ve learned that teaching is not just about explaining something, but about finding ways for students to learn by themselves. I still have a lot to learn, and that’s what makes this experience interesting."
Takaaki Okuda, Global Volunteer
"Heyyy AIESEC!!
It’s been a while since I got to shout this again, honestly I’m quite emotional hahaaa. 🥹
Looking back, when I first heard about AIESEC, it was through my friends. All I knew about it was leadership. But when I actually stepped into AIESEC, I realized that it was much more than that. It completely opened my eyes to the world and allowed me to see things from different perspectives.
My journey in AIESEC has been a journey of self-discovery, growth, and making an impact. AIESEC was never just an organization I joined. It became a chapter of my life that shaped the way I see leadership, people, and most importantly myself.
AIESEC will always be one of my favorite and unforgettable parts of my youth.🤍"
Kimly You, Alumni Team leader EwA, 2025
"Joining AIESEC right after high school changed my life. It gave me a practical understanding of how the world works while surrounding me with a network of incredible people. The challenges and connections I experienced here shaped my growth, confidence, and leadership. Because of this journey, I have truly become the person my younger self always hoped to be. I am deeply grateful for every lesson, friendship, and opportunity AIESEC provided along the way."
Cheadane Nat, Alumni LCVP Marketing, 2025
"AIESEC has seen my growth from a shy, introverted, and hesitant person into someone curious, confident, and excited to connect with others. That growth didn’t happen by accident, it came from an environment that constantly pushes us to challenge our limits and discover what we’re capable of. Through leadership opportunities I never imagined having, I learned lessons I could never have gained alone.
AIESEC is a community of open-minded, supportive people who grow, learn, and empower one another. It’s more than a volunteer organization, it’s a place where youth leaders are shaped, challenged, and empowered."
Nobsokun DY, Alumni Manager People Management, 2025
"Being the Local Committee President of AIESEC in LUCT has been one of the most challenging yet meaningful experiences of my journey. I came into this role with many expectations, but I quickly learned that leadership is not just about achieving results—it is about understanding people, making difficult decisions, and growing together.
Throughout this journey, I faced moments of uncertainty while balancing AIESEC with my other responsibilities. Those challenges taught me to become more patient, resilient, and responsible. I learned that I don't always need to have all the answers; sometimes, leadership is simply about listening, learning, and having the courage to keep moving forward.
To anyone thinking about taking a leadership role, don't wait until you feel ready. Take the opportunity, embrace the challenges, and allow yourself to grow. You might discover a version of yourself you never knew existed."
Lyfong Heng, Local Committee President
"I joined AIESEC out of curiosity but what I discovered gave me a wonderful experience I've never imagined in my whole entire life.
I first joined as a member of Outgoing Global Exchange function and unexpectedly grew fond of everything I've done in the function from talking to youth from different universities to youth in different countries giving me a wider range of connection and better understanding on global diversity, then later on I've become a manager of this same function which allowed me to work with amazing people and lead potential youths directly which is also something I've experienced for the first time.
To me, AIESEC is not just an organization anymore, it becomes a home, a family that is very dear to me. Even better, I had an opportunity to attend the Asia Pacific Conference which would be something I will never forget in my whole life. I took my first flight, and somehow people I've known from WhatsApp through IR calls become real life people I talk face to face, and build an impact together. I struggled, I got up, and I survived and when I looked back,
I realized that I've become a stronger person, a more confident person, and even better I've empowered others and I even manage to give a life-changing experience to a total stranger."
Reachnytevy Seng, Local Committee Manager of Outgoing Global Exchange
"My journey in AIESEC gave me the opportunity to meet new people, work as part of a team, and step outside my comfort zone. It is like a bittersweet experience for me as not everything happens beautifully as I have imagined. However, what made the experience truly special was the people I met along the way.
By working together, helping each other, laughing during difficult moments, and celebrating our small achievements created memories that I will never forget.
Lastly, seeing everyone around me grow and have good experiences has honestly been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey."
Lyza Thina, LCVP Finance & Legality
